Overview of Arachne Web Bbrowser
Arachne Web Browser's minimum requirement is a 386/486 CPU which has the optional 387 maths co-processer installed. The only difference between CPU support is CORE.EXE, therefore replacing CORE.EXE will allow Arachne version 1.89 to be compatible. Run the Arachne install and after the VGA settings have been excepted press ALT + X to return to the command line, you need to replace the core.exe file then run Arachne setup.
Arachne Core 1.87-386 - 386/486 CPU's without a 387 maths co-processer and Arachne Core 1.87-286 - 286 CPU.
As a last resort the following are also available:
PTS DOS 2000 includes Arachne 1.66, therefore if require an all-in-one solution this is good starter package, and will install on a 286 or later PC.
Arachne version 1.79-386 - 386/486 CPU's without a 387 maths co-processer.
Arachne Core 8088 - 8088/8086/186/286 CPU's.
